LOGAN — A 29-year-old Wellsville man has pleaded guilty to prostituting a woman for money.

John Pace appeared in 1st District Court Monday with his attorney, accepting a plea deal from state attorneys.

Under conditions of the deal, Pace pleaded guilty to aggravated exploitation of a prostitute, amended to a third-degree felony.

State attorney Jacob Gordon said Pace was arrested trying to prostitute a woman for financial gain. He reportedly used website classified ads to offer her services.  He would then arrange appointments and transport her to interested individuals.

Pace will be sentenced November 10 and could face up to five years in prison.

In a prior case, Pace pleaded guilty in May to possession or use of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor and possession of drug paraphernalia, a class B misdemeanor. In June he was sentenced to serve 90 days in jail and three years-probation.
