LOGAN – The latest RPI standings for boys basketball have been released by the Utah High School Activities Association and three Region 11 teams remain in the top 10. In the inaugural RPI release this season, the Bobcats (12-2) were the number one team in the state, and they remain there today. Mason Falslev once again leads the Bobcats in several categories and ranks among the best in 4A: currently the second leading scorer averaging 21.6 points a game, currently second in assists per game at 4.0, currently sixth in rebounds per game at 6.5, currently sixth in 3 pointers per game at 2.4, and seventh in steals per game at 1.8.

The Ridgeline Riverhawks (9-6) are sixth in the standings and the Bear River Bears (10-5) are not far behind at eighth. Bear River’s Mark Huber is currently leading the state in scoring, averaging 22.9 points a game.

When the first standings were released in late December, Green Canyon was a top 10 team. The Wolves (8-7) have fallen to 13, but have three players in the top 10 of 3 pointers made per game: Cade DeBoard is fifth, averaging 2.7 per game; Cole DeBoard is seventh, averaging 2.3 per game; and, McKay Yorgason is tenth, averaging 2.1 per game. Logan’s win on Friday over Green Canyon helped the Grizzlies (6-9) move up to 15 in the standings.

Despite playing Bear River close on Friday, the Mountain Crest Mustangs (1-12) have struggled all year and remain at the bottom of the RPI standings at 21.
