As of mid-afternoon Sardine Canyon (U.S. 89-91) was reporting snowpacked roads but plows were out, according to Cache County dispatch.  No update from Logan Canyon (U.S. 89) was available.  The storm has cancelled a couple of basketball games so far,  the SkyView boys game vs Morgan has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date.   Also the Bear River girls game at Morgan will not be played tonight.

Areas around the valley have already picked up several inches, however because of temperatures in the low 30’s most of the day, most of the roads and highways are reporting wet or slushy conditions.   That may change with falling temperatures tonight however.  A winter storm warning remains in effect until 10a.m. Saturday for much of Utah including the Utah portion of the Cache Valley.

For the Idaho portion the warning goes until 5A.M. Thursday.  Still a chance of snow for Southeast Idaho on Thursday but it may mix with rain at times in the afternoon.  Through Friday night  areas around Logan could receive  another 4 to 6 inches and Brigham City 6 to 8 inches possible.
