LOGAN — A 38-year-old Trenton man was sentenced to 45-days in jail for filming underneath women’s skirts during Summerfest.

Michael Lawler appeared in 1st District Court Tuesday morning for sentencing after pleading guilty to one count of voyeurism, a class A misdemeanor, in September.

During Summerfest in June, Lawler attached his cell phone to a long slender piece of cardboard and used the device to record underneath the skirts of women who were visiting the art festival, held on the Logan Tabernacle grounds.

Police confronted Lawler who confessed. He was arrested and booked into the Cache County Jail and later released after posting bail.

State attorney Barbara Lachmar said Lawler has cooperated with investigators and immediately sought counseling after his arrest.

Judge Brian Cannell ordered Lawler to serve 45-days in jail and pay either a $1000 fine or complete 100 hours of community service.
