Snowy start to 2020 possible – Cache Valley Daily

As December, and 2019, wind down, northern Utah has  seen a little bit of snow and slippery conditions late Sunday into Monday,  as about 2-inches fell during the day and into the night.  Before that, the most snow precipitation at one time was 2-inches twice during the first half of the month.

The coldest temperature reported at the KVNU reporting station was minus 3 on December 18^th.  The warmest temperature was 45 degrees reported on both December 7^th and 24^th.    The inversion was in place many days during the month with poor air quality and cold temperatures as a result.

Looking ahead – 2020 may start off snowy, with the next storm system arriving New Years Day (Wednesday) that will have the potential to produce significant snowfall across much of the area through Thursday.
