PRESTON – Preston City welcomed its new mayor Monday night during the first city council meeting of 2020.

Mayor Dan Keller was administered the oath of office. His wife Pam was by his side holding a family Bible.

Brent Dodge was sworn in as a new council member, along with Terry Larson who was re-elected for another 4-year term.

After spending a few minutes introducing themselves to the public, it was down to business.

The council nominated Allyson Wadsworth to serve as Council President for the year.

There were a few items of business conducted, including the approval of a special use permit for Production Technologies, Inc.

The Logan company is relocating to Preston and bringing with it about 30 new jobs.

Among other things, Production Technologies specializes in metal fabrication and powder coating.

The Preston City Council began live streaming their meetings to the city’s Facebook page in October, 2019 and will continue that service in 2020.
