LAKETOWN, Utah (AP) — A man is facing charges after police say he held his girlfriend against her will inside a cabin near the Utah-Idaho border.

KSL-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2dIcg5x ) that police were called Monday after receiving reports that the man had threatened to kill the woman and was keeping her held in an upstairs closet. The woman’s mother contacted police after hearing from her daughter.

The mother did not know where her daughter was being held, other than that it was a cabin near the state line. It took more than an hour for authorities to find the correct address.

According to the Rich County Sheriff’s Office, police detained the man while searching the home and found the woman upstairs in a closet.
