December 2, 1948 ~ February 4, 2020 – (age 71)

Orville Henry Ward, 71 passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020 in Cedar City, Utah. Orville was born December 2, 1948 in Ogden, Utah a son of Orvis Alfred Ward and Evelyn Cole Ward.

He grew up in South Willard on the family farm. Orville attended Willard Elementary and Box Elder High he then moved to Merced, California where he graduated from High School. He enjoyed sports and played baseball on a Willard team with his brothers Tom and Fred. He loved to golf.

In California he learned how to make pies in the Bakery at Safeway. He was part owner of Heidi Pies and pies were his specialty. Orville had a fun personality, was the best at storytelling, he was personable and was the focal point of the party. He was very outgoing and competitive in all he did.

Orville married two special women Lenna and Lore.

Survived by his daughters: Amy Louise Valentiner; Jessica Lyn Cowley; Alissa May Smith and six grandchildren. Siblings: Loretta (Richard) Hadfield; Glenn A. (Chris) Ward; Fred (Linda) Ward; Evelyn Ann (John) Jung and Parker (Hong) Ward. Preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Dean Ward; Arlene Vincent and Thomas Ward.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 11:00am at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 205 South 100 East, Brigham City, Utah. A viewing will be held Saturday from 10:00 – 10:40am at the Mortuary. Interment will be in the Willard City Cemetery.
