BRIGHAM CITY, Utah (AP) — A Brigham City newspaper is seeking a stalking injunction against a man who staff members say has showed up at their homes to lobby them to publish his letters to the editor.

The Box Elder News Journal sent a certified letter to 61-year-old Don Dunbar banning him from the newspaper’s offices and the homes of several employees. An official stalking injunction is pending before a judge.

Dunbar’s past letters decried President Barack Obama and the United Nations, and have raised concerns that utility “smart meters” are spy tools.

Associate editor Mike Nelson tells the Standard-Examiner the last straw was when he and Dunbar got into a heated argument March 3 over Dunbar’s letter calling the city-owned Internet provider a UN conspiracy.

A phone number for Dunbar couldn’t be located.
