A 35-year-old Ogden man was found early Thursday morning by Rich County Search and Rescue crews, after becoming lost while hunting near Monte Cristo in Rich County.

Sheriff Dale Stacey said Nicholas Laughter was last seen around 6:00 p.m., stalking a deer. He was reported missing at approximately 9:00 p.m.

Search and Rescue crews along with the Utah Highway Patrol’s Aero Bureau searched the area through the night.

Stacey said a search team found Laughter at approximately 1:00 a.m.  He was found walking west on highway 39, three-miles north of where he was last seen.

Laughter was reportedly in good condition and was checked by paramedics before being released to family members.

Stacey said temperatures overnight were in the 30’s.
