LOGAN — A 42-year-old former Hyrum man facing multiple child sex abuse charges has been transferred back to Logan to face similar offenses. Craig Braito was transferred from the Uintah County Jail Thursday night and was booked into the Cache County Jail.
Court records show, Braito was charged in 1st District Court with rape of a child and sodomy of a child, a first-degree felony. The charges were filed in October, alleging the crimes occurred in 2011.
Braito has been charged with nine similar charges in 8th District Court in Vernal. He has yet to enter a plea to any of the charges.
Braito is scheduled to be arraigned in 1st District Court Monday. He is being held in jail without bail and could face up to life in prison if convicted.
