Dennis K. Fehlman (Denny) of Mendon, Utah, passed away on February 15, 2020.
Dennis was born in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Charles and Gertrude Fehlman on June 24, 1948. He was the 7th of 9 children. Gustave – deceased, Gene (Helen), Jeanette Wright (Gary) deceased, Ray (Gloria) deceased, Charlene Hsu (Sam), Patricia Loudenslager (John), Paula Gunnnel (Doyle), and Joyce Rasmussen (John) deceased.
At the age of eight, Denny’s family moved to Logan from Richfield, Idaho, where he attended Logan city schools.
He is survived by his three children, Justina Fehlman, Chandra Fehlman, Charles (Emily) Fehlman, and his three grandchildren April, Asia and Arlo.
Dennis proudly served in the military during the Vietnam War, he enlisted in the infantry and later volunteered and served in Special Forces. He was very patriotic and loved his country. After an honorable discharge from the military, Dennis became a master mechanic and worked for Toyota/Honda for 40 years. He was respected for the pride he took in his work and his honesty.
Dennis was a peaceful man who loved solitude, but was always there with heartfelt advice, a listening ear, and endless wisdom.
He loved his family, his heritage, and Park Valley, Utah, where he often went camping. He was a lover of music, the moon and stars, Venus and Mars. He had a fascination with astronomy and the unknown. Nature was his church, he spent most of his time enjoying the outdoors or reading his beloved books. His intellect was only rivaled by his heart of gold. He was one of a kind and loved by all he met.
He will be missed more than he will ever know. Rest easy our dad, our brother, our friend…… until we meet again.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 in Park Valley, Utah at 1:00pm. Services are under the direction of Cache Valley Mortuary, 80 West 4200 North, Hyde Park, Utah. 435-787-8514.
