It is not expected to be a major storm this weekend, but it could affect travel and will usher in a snowy trend  in our area over the next week.  A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the Cache Valley of Utah and Idaho and also for the mountains of Northern Utah- in effect through mid-morning Sunday.  A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the mountains east of Preston.

Total snow accumulation of two to five inches are expected in valley locations,  five to 10 inches are forecast for mountain valleys of the Wasatch Back and 10 to 20 inches possible in the mountains. Travelers should plan on slippery road conditions and occasional difficult travel , especially early Saturday morning and again Saturday evening.
